Suddenly, consciousness sinks its icy grip into you and yanks you into the realm of wakefulness.

Disoriented, you rise to your feet. Put one in front of the other. Who were you with last night? Are they all with you? Do they still take breath? You can’t tell. Not yet, at least. Instead, you stumble into the next area, and perhaps you’re not alone, but there is one thing that you are innately aware of: something is wrong. So very, very wrong.

The sky has a faint discoloration to it, and if you peer too closely, you might notice how the air seems to be thrumming, pulsing with magic. You can almost taste it—and if you aren’t careful, may choke on it. It’s best to focus on the task at hand in front of you first.

Welcome, Sacrifices, to your weekly investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6PM EST and another set at 7PM EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8PM and 9PM EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial.

At 9PM EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). If you have any questions at any time, please let the mods know by pinging us on Discord!

SHE WILL CAREFULLY WATCH HER MUD STEPS SO THAT SHE DOESN'T STEP ON ANYTHING IMPORTANT... but is there anything of note inside the theater at a glance? any unusual mess?

he will try to walk around the mud if possible because, gross, and see if he can tell anything about where the wet might have come from... ]

[ RELATIVE TO PICKLES??? i guess the area is bigger than a pickles sized area. there are no visible footprints though.

for totty, it's pretty close to the entrance, but there's nothing wet immediately on the other side of the door. the muddy area seems to be restrained in this specific area and not outside of it, when totty examines it.

well the most immediate thing that nona will likely notice is that on the stage there is a large something, although it is hard to tell from this distance. ]

[Lavi will make a face, unaware that Nona just found a body probably, and he'll dab the edge of his red scarf into the mud and then see how it looks and also... how it smells......

[ looks at lavi like why are you doing this to your scarf... why not just sniff the ground, or collect some on the end of a twig...

anyway he will take a picture of the mud, because why not, and then i guess he will follow nona inside at this point (after trying to wipe his shoes off at the entrance as much as he can even though this theater DOESN'T DESERVE IT)

is there anything else of note if he glances around the audience seating area or does it seem like the stage is the only point of interest? ]

[ lavi sniffs the mud and smells mud

when nona gets closer to the stage, she will see that the giant something seems to be a pile of... stuff? a pile of stuff. a pile of stuff. whoa. whoa????? whoa!!!! there is something about the top of this pile of stuff.

since totty is looking at the seating area, he will notice that some of the benches seem to have been moved from their original place.

oh also lavi smelled wine too. ]

okay well, he will also go around the muddy area to enter the theater so he can take a closer look at the elegant doors of the theater(re), and whatever's around it inside? anything here]

[ the doors of the theater look nice and cute!! oooo. yeah just doors. from where lavi is, there is nothing else immediately noticeably that the other two haven't noticed already. like that pile of stuff.

the pile of stuff is a large assortment of things. cushions, benches, chests... it is a lot taller than she is, so no, she cannot easily reach whatever is at the summit of the pile of stuff. whoa..... what's up there......

but Lavi is a greedy ho, so he'll head carefully over to the stage where Nona is gazing at the pile of stuff, shading his eyes at all the fcking stuff in there. wow.

and then he kneels on the ground and points to his shoulders, motioning for Nona to get on :) what about totty WELL ACTUALLY totty can also get on his shoulders if he wants... he's here to be a free for all booster up]

[ totty looks up to the pile of stuff. nona can have all the action she wants, who is he to stop her.

he is going to defy your bold text and look at these benches first!!! because he's already here!!! is there something under them or on the floor nearby? is there anything on top of them, or above them on the ceiling or something?? this feels like a weird configuration!!

if it looks like they actually need three people at the pile of stuff he will go, but also he Hurts and doesn't want to climb on anyone. ]

nona is human centipeded by lavi, and with the extra lift, she can see that the top of the pile is a ukulele. whoa. whoa!!!! WHOOOAAAAAA.

lavi stands here with the pile of stuff, as he cannot tell the true source of the bold text from his position.

todomatsu can check out the benches but the whole time the pile of stuff is looking sexy in the corner of his eye. there's nothing under them or on them or above, either. their formation seems sort of like they're forming some sort of wall shoved together. ]

anyway while Lavi stares at the Pile of Stuff, can he discern that this is Stuff from the theater itself? or maybe Stuff from other locations? he's been around the town and island and he has a stupid memory so he'd theoretically be able to tell unless you swat him out of his mind palace since this in invest,

he'll also try to tentatively move a little closer so that Nona can perhaps reach whatever she's looking at,]

[ the items seem like they belong here, yes. like said earlier, they seem to be an assortment of benches, cushions, and the chests of the people who live in here. kind of rude to move them, actually. since lavi is looking at it closely while nona deals with the ukulele, he can spot some... blood, on this pile, actually.

there seems to be space between the benches for a person to have been in there, yes! ]

[he stares at the Blood. is it like sprinkled on the assortment of stuff, or is there like a puddle of it staining some of the pile... can he figure out where it's coming from in this pile if he starts moving things,]

[but peers at this pile from the top... can she see any blood from her position that lavi wouldn't]

[ okay, and there's nothing on the floor in that space if he peers down there, that whoever may have theoretically been in there could have dropped or anything? he will take pictures of this setup too!! is there any damage or any marks or anything on any of these benches? ]

[ hhhh FINE he will GO to the PILE and i guess take better pictures... walk around it... get good angles and see if anything stands out even though i assume he might not be able to think very hard about it until tomorrow ]

[ the blood that lavi sees looks more like it landed on the pile, so it's not a puddle or anything.

from nona's position, she can't see any blood that he can't. it looks clear up here!!!

the ground around the benches are a little scuffed, sort of like what a floor would look like if something heavy was dragged. there's nothing down in the space though. when totty walks around the altar, he can notice something bloody sticking out of one of the chests.
