Suddenly, consciousness sinks its icy grip into you and yanks you into the realm of wakefulness.
Disoriented, you rise to your feet. Put one in front of the other. Who were you with last night? Are they all with you? Do they still take breath? You can’t tell. Not yet, at least. Instead, you stumble into the next area, and perhaps you’re not alone, but there is one thing that you are innately aware of: something is wrong. So very, very wrong.
The sky has a faint discoloration to it, and if you peer too closely, you might notice how the air seems to be thrumming, pulsing with magic. You can almost taste it—and if you aren’t careful, may choke on it. It’s best to focus on the task at hand in front of you first.

Welcome, Sacrifices, to your weekly investigation!
We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6PM EST and another set at 7PM EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8PM and 9PM EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial.
At 9PM EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). If you have any questions at any time, please let the mods know by pinging us on Discord!

the bees leave ashlyn be(e), yay! hehe. except now they turn around and descend onto rondo to maul him with their stingers.

anyway i'm going to assume the tracks don't matter and just. take a look at ashlyn and rondo screaming about bees, and then.
turn and walk into the ocean to go touch the barrel. what's up with the barrel. how far out is it! is daan going to be mad at her for getting her hand wet]

[ this is also yelled as he is being ATTACKED by bees
and uselessly swinging his sword to fight off the bees. wouldn't it be cool if he could do a cool sick sacred flame light attack and kill them all at once. this is what he would do if he had magic powers. which he does not because this is a murdergame and he forgot.
anyway he's going to get stung by bees a lot now but at least ashlyn will not. a knight has done his duty :salute: ]

she doesn't have to go too far, maybe waist-deep, and yes, damn daniel will yell at her about getting her hand wet probably.
the barrel is kind of heavy, but not difficult to move around in the water. it runs directly into her chest, bending her over the opening of it and forcing her to (bold coconut tree) to look inside. something red flashes in the shadows of it. ]
