In the early morning hours, the bell at the church tolls again. The darkness from the preceding night seems barely diminished, as though the sun is late to dawn; as characters are drawn out of their homes—out of their slumber, or lack thereof—they will find their feet dragging in a particular location. Following the compulsion is easy, but even those that fight it will eventually end up at the same place: the Temple of the True Solstice.

It might look a little different from usual, and it certainly feels different; once again, the air feels staticky-thick with magic, the whole area now made into a ritual ground, a veil surrounding it. The veil will also contain any residual splash damage that could hurt the audience, but characters will find themselves stuck outside of it, unable to approach further without their blood starting to boil. The Templt is now larger, the inside spacious enough for fun activities, while the audience will have to watch the events through the open doorway from the outside. The overseers are already here as well, standing far off from the others and observing the proceedings separately. One of you will feel compelled to step safely forward.

For the rest, rituals require payment, and so the time for reckoning has come. Observe. Please inform your mods if your character attempts to leave execution once it begins.

[There's Erin Winters. Not as a human, not as a demon, but as an aquatic creature of nightmare. The temple has a lot of hay, the lanterns spread around twinkling like stars, making the air feel ominous. Erin is pacing around, fins alert, spikes already on guard. She knows what's coming.

During the night Erin held on, fighting the monster that had possessed her, leaving her able to talk and not deafen everyone with screeches. That resistance is on its last legs now. The way Erin moves proves it -- it's not very human, to see her stalk around like a shark waiting for prey to fall down. Circling the interior of the arena. In her hand there's a shovel, with a crudely painted pentagram. Were Erin not busy still struggling, she'd probably make some comment about it, but it's hard to when she's currently in a losing battle.

Anyone fighting her is going to need a lot of agility and endurance to keep up with Erin. This creature is speedy, ready to strike if you're not careful.

Surely anyone who will have to take the task of fighting her will have the qualities to counter anything Erin can do, no?]
