Suddenly, consciousness sinks its icy grip into you and yanks you into the realm of wakefulness.

Disoriented, you rise to your feet. Put one in front of the other. Who were you with last night? Are they all with you? Do they still take breath? You can’t tell. Not yet, at least. Instead, you stumble into the next area, and perhaps you’re not alone, but there is one thing that you are innately aware of: something is wrong. So very, very wrong.

The sky has a faint discoloration to it, and if you peer too closely, you might notice how the air seems to be thrumming, pulsing with magic. You can almost taste it—and if you aren’t careful, may choke on it. It’s best to focus on the task at hand in front of you first.

Welcome, Sacrifices, to your weekly investigation!

We will be posting top-levels for searchable locations—one set at 6PM EST and another set at 7PM EST. Each location will contain evidence to find, though it's up to your efforts as to whether you find all of it. Please coordinate investigation groups on Discord, as we ask that group threads consist of no more than 2-3 characters. We will stop tagging each top-level two hours after it went up, i.e. at 8PM and 9PM EST, respectively. Don't worry if you don't find everything! Characters will get the chance to revisit locations tomorrow at trial.

At 9PM EST, an announcement will go up, confirming the victim(s). If you have any questions at any time, please let the mods know by pinging us on Discord!

the pile of stuff is a large assortment of things. cushions, benches, chests... it is a lot taller than she is, so no, she cannot easily reach whatever is at the summit of the pile of stuff. whoa..... what's up there......

the benches look like they were deliberately moved, yes. they seem to be pushed together. totty will glance at the pile of stuff. man are you really just going to let nona get all that action, man..... ]

[ woah, the legendary ceiling check....... does this ever pay off... anyway mathis sees a large hole in the ceiling/roof, it's right around where daan is standing with the hay bales. he only has one eye so i guess he can't look above him, that's probably how vision works.

daan can get the sense that one of the dents is large and one is less large. they could feasibly be about the size of a person or so, though it's hay so you're not getting exact shapes to make out here. there's nothing in the barrels, but as he's moving away from the hay bales to check, he can see some dark stuff in the dirt, trailing off.

no you cannot access your mind palace with the bug net. also there is no bold text in the barn? stop trying to be cool like the beach. she gets hit with a shingle from the roof as she's walking around outside for her troubles. ]

there is a coconut tree here. it's not as alluring as the other coconut tree, but it looks more suspicious than the other one.

the water doesn't seem as strange as the beach in front of it... ]

lavi stands here with the pile of stuff, as he cannot tell the true source of the bold text from his position.

todomatsu can check out the benches but the whole time the pile of stuff is looking sexy in the corner of his eye. there's nothing under them or on them or above, either. their formation seems sort of like they're forming some sort of wall shoved together. ]

it has something black in its other claw, waving it around, about a few inches in length. it feels plastic-y, but does karlach know a plastic.

rondo climbs the best coconut tree he has ever seen and felt. his weight makes it teeter back and forth. oh!! at the top, he can see something out in the water of the ocean... a large brown something.

one of the coconuts falls out of the tree at rondo's jostling and lands on the ground by ashlyn's feet.

except it isn't a coconut,
